Can't wait to see what the future has to offer.

Piling in the car has always been fun, and we have been fortunate to take in some of our country's great sites - Mount Rushmore, Rocky Mountains, Gulf of Mexico, Washington D.C., are just a few.
What major events have affected your life in the last five years?
While it isn't a major event, time and the fact that it goes by so fast, has probably had the most impact. Watching my children grow and know that they will soon be navigating the world on their own makes me treasure the time that I have with them. I am fortunate to have my parents and even more fortunate as they have moved closer. Appreciating family and our time together is something I value.
How is your life different from what you thought it would be 30 years after high school?
I honestly can't remember what I "thought" my life would be like...does anyone? At the age of 18, thirty years into the future seemed like an eternity.

I've been married to a great guy for 9 years, but we have been together for over 14 years. My husband, Todd, designs and builds stand alone emergency rooms. Most of them are in Texas but he has also built a few in other states. And I have 2 beautiful step-daughters. Allison, 20, will be a junior at Texas A&M. Allison is going to be a child psychologist. She will work with terminally ill children. I admire her so much for her career choice. My youngest is Holly, 18, who is going to cosmetology school. This means I will be able to get my hair done...REALLY CHEAP! They are both beautiful, smart and talented young ladies and I love them as if they were my own. I am so very proud of them both.
Tell us about your pets:
I also have 2 of the cutest 4 legged fur babies that I consider my kids too. Maggie Moo is a cocker spaniel & Trixie Trixter is a cocker-beagle mix. Maggie is 7 years old and loves to snuggle. Trixie is over a year old and she is such a puppy - she wears me out. She loves to jump on my head every morning and shower me with kisses. Then she has her tennis ball in her mouth at my feet when I'm getting out of bed. It took Maggie a while to get used to Trixie - she's a little jealous but they get along pretty good.
What is your current occupation? Or, how do you spend your day?:
I have been in Property Management for over 22 years. I manage high end apartment communities, or basically manage multi-million dollar real estate assets. I am currently doing brand new construction projects. I have also don a lot of renovations and rehabs. I love my job - I get to play with numbers and people. The people make me crazy some days - but I love what I do. I have met so many extraordinary people from all over the world.
What are your current hobbies?
I still LOVE to dance. But...I have changed my music genre. Now, I only listen to country music...who would have thought the "I" would go country. I love to country and western dance!! It's the greatest exercise and stress reliever that I have ever done. I just wish I could dance more often then I do. I also love boating, jet skiing....anything related to water, beach. My dogs are my hobby too. I love playing with them, snuggling with them. My favorite pastime is facebook. It's so great to be able to stay in contact with people I thought I would never see again.
Where have you traveled?
I mostly travel to Mexico. Cancun is my favorite place to travel. I have also been to Jamaica, but prefer Mexico.
How is your life different from what you thought it would be 30 years after high school?
Well, I never would have guessed that I would end up in Texas. Had I known, I would have taken some Spanish classes along with my French. In high school, I planned on marrying Morey McClanahan and we were going to have 3 kids but that didn't work out, I have no children of my own. I wanted to live out in the country with Morey McClanahan in an A frame house. Really glad that didn't happen.. That's OK! My destiny was to be a good step-mom so that's what I strive to be. I moved to Texas 24 years ago with no job, no family and $600.00 to my name. Texas is one of my best life's accomplishments. I didn't finish college as planned but that's OK too because I love what I do. I thought I would be married to a taller man, but Todd is right at my height limit of 5'11.5"....thank goodness he wasn't shorter...lol. In high school, my true hearts desire was to be a dancer. But the good schools were in New York City and that terrified me. If I could change anything - that would be it. I would take off to NY and become a professional dancer. A lot of my friends in HS thought they would see my on Solid Gold Dancers...that would have been so great if it would have happened. I have more in my life than I ever dreamed of having. I have a good husband who loves me for who I am. He puts up with my bitchiness. We are both Taurus', so we are both competitive, opinionated and we always think we are right, The truth is, we get along so well. He's my best friend and he doesn't mind when I smart off to him with my playful criticism, He just fires right back at me. We bicker at each other and If you don't know us, you'd think we couldn't stand each other...but that is just our personality,
Other stuff you would like to include:
I just want us all to drop the HS acts of the 80's. We are all grown up, responsible adults. We need to forget the stupid stuff that helped split up our class 30 years ago. No more clicks! Just a group of people who all knew each other and went to school together and now want all of us connect with each other as adults today, Everyone is different - that's not a bad thing - we have all grown into the people we are today, I'm looking forward to talking to every person I can from our class, I just want to know how everyone's life is going.

I am a Managed Care Specialist at Fitzgibbon Hospital. I've been at the hospital for almost 4 years,
Where was your last job (before your current one) and what did you do there?
I worked for nearly 8 years for attorney, Lin Alexander. I loved working for Lin and probably would have stayed with him forever - but he retired from private practice. However, he retired within a few months of my graduating from college. So, it wasn't long after I lost my job with Lin that I started working at Fitzgibbon Hospital.
What are your current hobbies?
Garage Sale/Flea Marketing, Reading, Spending time with my family - particularly my grandson, Dante.
Where have you traveled?
Lots of places - Vegas, Florida, but one of the best trips we've been on was taking a cruise and train trip to and through Alaska. Our next big trip is a cruise this fall - from Canada to Florida.
What major events have affected your life in the last five years?
I started college for the first time at the age of 41 and graduated in August 2010. It's only an Associates Degree - but I marked get a college education off my bucket list. I also became a grandparent. We spend lots of time with Dante as we have him every other weekend. He is an absolute joy! Chase lives with his mother in Florida, so we only get to see him through pictures and communication with his Mom - but he is a little cutie pie too!
How is your life different from what you thought it would be 30 years after high school?
I married a classmate, Jeff Thomas. Since we didn't run in the same circles in school I never thought that would happen. We met up at our 10th year class reunion and started dating thereafter. Being with Jeff has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me. We've been together for 20 years now and married for 16-1/2 years. Having no real future educational plans after high school I never thought I would go to college. The older I got the more I regretted not going when I was young. When I hit my 40s I figured I wasn't getting any younger. So with the help of technology, I started taking college classes online. I completed my coursework earning an Associate’s Degree a few years later. I love being a Grandmother! And it is fun watching Jeff being a Grandfather. Dante is his little mini-me and he loves to do everything Grandpa does.
Other stuff you would like to include:
I am so lucky to have had the same best friend for coming up on 40 years. Besides my family, my relationship with Mona Robb Mikels has been the longest of my life. It is so cool to have a friend who remembers all the things you remember. Someone who has known you so long they know how you think and can pretty much finish your sentences. It is fun to look back on how much things in our lives have changed over the years and know someone has been right there with you through it all.

meter and regulator technician for Southern Calif. Gas Co.
Where was your last job (before your current one) and what did you do there?
Worked for Starbucks for about 5 minutes. Not really that short, but I got hired to read meters for the gas co. and left that job to move.
What are your current hobbies?
Hiking and Cycling.
Where have you traveled?
I go to Missouri and Kansas a lot, does that count?
What major events have affected your life in the last five years?
I have been going through a divorce for more than four years. The legal system here in California is ridiculous. But I am learning to be thankful for what I have and am excited about the future.
How is your life different from what you thought it would be 30 years after high school?
Just about everything. But I read a quote in a book called "A Grace Disguised, How The Soul Grows Through Loss". At least I think the quote is there, if not, the book is still great. Anyway the quote went something like this, (and as a guy who has done a lot of acting roles, I really appreciate it). Here it is: "You cannot always choose the roles you play in life, but you can choose how you play the roles you are given".
Other stuff you would like to include:
Yeah, I just want to say that one of the reasons I decided to come to this reunion in the Missouri summer heat and humidity (I am not use to it here), is because of our classmate Julie. I did not know her well at all, but I was deeply affected by her passing. It made me realize how much I cared for my classmates, many of which I've known since the second grade. Chad Hardison was one of my best childhood friends. Anyway, I hope to see many of you there!

How is your life different from what you thought it would be 30 years after high school?
My adult life has been amazing. I never thought it would be so adventurous and fun. However, I also never thought life could get so hard either. I wish I could go back and write a letter to myself from the me now to the me at age 18. I didn't know anything about life 30 years ago. I wouldn't have wanted to know specific things about the future, but I would have liked to know that 30 years later, after many, many ups and downs, I am happy. Also, school was very hard for me growing up. I knew that I would go to college, but I never would have imagined that I would also get a graduate degree and be a college professor.

I have 3 adult children; Kiley is 29 and the mother to my only grandchild. She is a nurse at the Asthma and Allergy Clinic in OKC. Chelbi is 24, she works for the State in the Juvenile Detention system. She goes to school 6-9 credit hours a semester, trying to avoid the student loan stuff. Cole is the baby and only boy. He is 22. My granddaughter, Sophie, is 8 years old.
Tell us about your pets:
I have a Scottish Terrier, Abby, what a little nut! These are the dogs for cat people. I have a big, slobbery Mastiff/Lab mix named Gabriel. I have a kitty that the tornado blew in last May. Her name is Tuffy. And of course I have custody of a grandcat, Frank, who is FIV and epileptic. She is a sweet girl. Yes Frank is a she.
What is your current occupation? Or, how do you spend your day?:
I work for Southwest Airlines. I started here in 2011 after my youngest graduated. I knew I couldn't pull the hours while I still had kids at home and in school. I also write for an ebook website, ellorascave. I use a pseudo and prefer it that way. I PAY people to pick up my shift when my Muse runs the show. I love it though. It is my dream job. I just LUV the normalcy and security and work environment and perks and people at SWA. So career-wise I am in a great place.
Where was your last job (before your current one) and what did you do there?
I worked for Directv for 12 years before my current job. I was a Supervisor in the Home Support, which means I dealt with the installers and technicians and electricians in a troubleshooting capacity.
What are your current hobbies?
Travel, Yoga, swimming and I am a voracious reader.
Where have you traveled?
Let's see.... I haven't been to Alaska, Australia or the Middle East. They are all on my Bucket List though. My favorite places in the world are Scotland, Dover England, and the beaches in Texas and San Juan.
What major events have affected your life in the last five years?
In 09 Rick got hit by a car on his bike on his way to work permanently disabling him. In 2011 my youngest graduated from high school. I am still shocked at how much that shook me. After 27 years of my schedule revolving around their schedules, I was free. With Rick's accident 2 years previously, all our plans for this freedom were not happening. He took my resentment towards how unfair this was personally. He had always been my 'Fix It' man and the frustration of not being able to made him feel defensive and responsible. Sooo in November of 2011 we parted ways and I quit my job and made the change to SWA. Yep within weeks of each other my whole life changed. Beginnings are always scary. Two beginning, three if you count Cole's graduation earlier that year. I was a nut. But the blessings of a strong family foundation, that now includes my adult children and my faith. I like who and what I have become. In May of 2013 as most of you know, my hometown was hit by a tornado. It came within a 150 yds from me. The streets to the north of me were gone. I had debris and roof and siding damage. I don't even remember how many tires I have had to replace. The landscape is forever changed. People I love lost so much.
How is your life different from what you thought it would be 30 years after high school?
The biggest difference is I am single. For those of you who are single... What is with all the cubs??!
Other stuff you would like to include:
I actually graduated from Mustang, though I spent 10,11 and the start of 12th grade with you all. I have kept in touch with some of you and FB has made it wonderful to reconnect with a lot of you. I think we have turned into even better people as adults. I will miss the reunion this year due to scheduling and our international flight launch and the removal of the Wright Bill. But I will enjoy seeing your pictures and posts. I wish you all the happiest and safe reunion.

After years of begging from my children, we finally got a dog 4 years ago. His is a dachshund named Buddy.
What is your current occupation? Or, how do you spend your day?:
I have worked for Shelter Insurance for the past 18 years. I am a claims adjuster and work in the home office in Columbia MO.
What are your current hobbies?
I spend most of my "spare" time going to my children's sports. Our oldest son plays football and wrestles. Our youngest son plays baseball and football, so we have every season covered! In my spare time I enjoy cooking, crafts and spending time with friends.
Where have you traveled?
Since high school I have been to Oregon, Jamaica, Colorado, Nashville, and Florida. My favorite of these was Fort Walton Beach, FL. I would love spend my summers there!
What major events have affected your life in the last five years?
I guress I am lucky that I have not had any major events happen in the last five years. We live the typical midwestern life. My biggest worry is my kids and my oldest out on the roads by himself!
How is your life different from what you thought it would be 30 years after high school?
I would have never thought I would live down the road from Marshall, in a town similar to where I grew up. And I never thought some of my own classmates would have been my kids teachers and school principals! Small world!
Tell us about your family (spouse, kids, etc):
